I have quite a few of the Legends of Acid Jazz CDs. The graphics suck, especially if you want to actually read what's written in front of said graphics. For instance, on this CD:

Don Patterson/Booker Ervin, Primary, 1 of 4

This is the back of the booklet:

Don Patterson/Booker Ervin, Secondary, 2 of 4

Have fun reading that. :)

I'm spinning this now and it's pretty darn good, crappy graphics and all.

Just found a copy for less than € 10 from a German discogs seller and jumped at it.

Excellent! I've been spinning this disc in the mornings for the last four days. Such good grooves.

Is that from his late '60s recordings?

Recorded In Englewood Cliffs, NJ; January 4, 1971 (#1-5) and July 9, 1971 (#6-11).
#1-5 originally released as Turn It On! (Prestige 10012); #6-11 as Black Vibrations (Prestige 10032).

I just bought a copy at the Bull Moose store in Portsmouth, NH for $7. :)

Let us know what you think after you've had a chance to spin it. Hopefully the Varitone doesn't get in the way of the groove! 😁 Stitt & Patterson could be considered The Anatomy of Hip. Oh, wait-a-minute...
