Jim Alfredson Posted July 7, 2007 Report Posted July 7, 2007 Y'all know I hate asking for it, but if you feel like donating just a bit of bread to the forum via the Donate button at the upper right, it would be mighty helpful right about now. It makes me feel better if I just consider it money from the "purchase" of those live mp3s we recently put up on the homepage! Thank you. Quote
GA Russell Posted July 7, 2007 Report Posted July 7, 2007 Jim, I don't have PayPal, so I'll put a check in the mail Monday. What is the address? Quote

Jim, that suggestion gave me an idea for the appropriate dollar figure - full boat (think, Borders regular price) CD. Then I noticed that the amount jumped by $2 for "shipping and handling" which brought it up closer to, say, a Dusty Groove import CD price. Is that in there to take Paypal fees into account? Either way I'm glad to help out, I was just surprised to see the dollar figure I entered jump up. Thanks for keeping the Org "The Place to Be". Edited July 7, 2007 by Dan Gould Quote

mikeweil Posted July 7, 2007 Report Posted July 7, 2007 (edited) I sent some by PayPal - wanted to do this for a while, thanks for the reminder. Thanks again! For the board an' all, I mean! Edited July 7, 2007 by mikeweil Quote
ghost of miles Posted July 7, 2007 Report Posted July 7, 2007 Made a small donation & thanks as always for the unsurpassed excellence of the board. Dan, I got the mandatory $2 shipping fee as well... didn't mind kicking in the extra two bucks, but it is an odd feature for a donation. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted July 7, 2007 Author Report Posted July 7, 2007 There's a shipping charge!? I guess I misunderstood that part of Dan's post. There should not be a shipping charge. What the hell? I'll look into it. Quote

The Magnificent Goldberg Posted July 7, 2007 Report Posted July 7, 2007 Yeah, I had a shipping charge, too. Dan's idea was good - an album's worth of dosh on the way. But I still don't know how to get your download, Jim. Did my PM go missing in the crash? MG Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted July 7, 2007 Author Report Posted July 7, 2007 Go to the media page on the homepage. www.organissimo.org/media.htm Look towards the bottom. Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted July 7, 2007 Report Posted July 7, 2007 Go to the media page on the homepage. www.organissimo.org/media.htm Look towards the bottom. Yes, I think that's what I did. But nothing seemed to happen when I hit the zip link, nor was there any indication that it was chewing it over and might be prepared to do something if I made the correct incantations. That's why I PMed you I'll try again. MG Quote
Claude Posted July 7, 2007 Report Posted July 7, 2007 (edited) Instead of clicking on the link to the zip file, better point to the link, right click and choose "save target as ..." and select a download folder. When the download is finished, open the file from the folder on your hard drive that you chose to download it to. http://www.organissimo.org/mp3s/ELJF.zip Edited July 7, 2007 by Claude Quote

There was a $2.00 shipping charge when I clicked and went to send using the donate button. When I logged on to paypal through my account there was not. Money sent, and thanks Jim. Quote
