connoisseur series500 Posted December 16, 2007 Report Posted December 16, 2007 Now that there's been some time for checks to arrive, can we get an update on the amount that was ultimately raised? What's it to you? I was thinking the same thing. But then I remember that Dan was amongst those who mailed in checks. I suspect he wants to see the effect of such mailings. But then, maybe I should let him answer. Quote
Dan Gould Posted December 16, 2007 Report Posted December 16, 2007 Maybe I'd like to know if we reached the goal of paying for two years in advance. Jesus Christ. Quote

Chuck Nessa Posted December 16, 2007 Report Posted December 16, 2007 I wanna know how many checks bounce - You might find out in Monday's mail. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted December 16, 2007 Report Posted December 16, 2007 We got another $500 in checks. That brings the total raised to about $3400. Enough to pay for the server for almost two years! Very cool! Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted December 16, 2007 Report Posted December 16, 2007 Jim There has been some talk in this thread about you using some of the cash to reduce your debts for the last Organissimo CD, since you've diverted some of the income that could have been used to reduce that debt to meeting the board's costs. I think that would be fair. I'm sure no one wants to see the band's progression to another CD halted, or even delayed further, because you've given financial priority to the board. MG Quote
Dan Gould Posted December 16, 2007 Report Posted December 16, 2007 I think this is Jim's call but MG makes a good suggestion. I've no doubt that we'd raise the same amount a year from now, if Jim were to take $1900 to cover 2008 and the remainder was applied to the previous CDs debts, or to the next CDs release. Quote

And we all will become to some extent "producers". Like Chuck Quote
AllenLowe Posted December 16, 2007 Report Posted December 16, 2007 (edited) we can use the money for an Organissimo Fuel Assistance Program, especially since Hugo Chavez won't return my calls; slogan: "help keep jazz musicians warm." We'll start with the letters A-L; well, guys, the line forms right behind me - hey, Kart, get lost; you have to know how to play an instrument - Edited December 16, 2007 by AllenLowe Quote
