Christiern
It doesn't happen often, but turning to Radio Dismuke for some 20's and 30s pop/dance music usually does the trick. I mean, how can one stay blue after hearing a song like "I Like Bananas, Because They Have No Bones"?

7/4
There's different kinds of blues...some days late Coltrane works while other days Howlin' Wolf and other days it's the sliding planes of planet earth with Xenakis.
king ubu
what music do you play to pick you up when you got the blues? The blues. Cannonball these were my first two thoughts (actually Cannonball was first) - but neither is really true, I guess... I sort of stopped listening up to particular kinds of music or artists or specific albums to "modify" my mood(s), but there are a few that I often used to play in such situations, for instance Kenny Burrell's "Midnight Blue" or the title track off Green's "Idle Moments". Also Coltrane, "A Love Supreme" or "Crescent".
