DukeCity Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 Couldn't get in to org.org all day today. Started to get the shakes, but I feel better now, thanks... Quote
DukeCity Posted April 10, 2008 Author Report Posted April 10, 2008 I was getting work done all day long. Show off! Quote
Uncle Skid Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 I was getting work done all day long. :rsmile: Not me... I get _less_ work done when the board is down. It messes up my "flow"... :rsly: Quote
Aggie87 Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 (edited) testing the server clock... edit - and it's off by 5 hours or so. Edited April 10, 2008 by Aggie87 Quote
ghost of miles Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 I got a communique from Sangrey earlier in the day--big storms in Texas, which is where the server's located...apparently that's to blame for our day-long jonesin'. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 Back just in time for me to say "good night". Quote
randissimo Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 Talked to Jim earlier and apparently there was a bad storm where the server is located somewhere in Texas.. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 Man, that was a long outage. I never actually talked to Tech Support because every time I called at various points throughout the day, the lines were busy or there was an enormous wait period. For future reference, anytime this site is down, check the other sites on this server like www.rootdoctorband.com and www.big-o-records.com. If they are all down, it means the server is down. You can check https://www.hostingsupport.com/networkstatus/ for status updates. That site was my only connection to what was going on today. Bookmark it! Quote
BeBop Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 Back just in time for me to say "good night". Good night? Good Morning! Quote
JSngry Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 We had major storms here last night, tornadoes, winds of 75-80 mph, lots of physical damage done. Quote
Christiern Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 How odd that the people of Chipping Campden (in the Cotswolds) can thank a Texas storm for giving me time to get their dentist's son's liner notes closer to completion. Quote
paul secor Posted April 11, 2008 Report Posted April 11, 2008 (edited) I've got a serious Big O jones - must have checked 8-10 times during the day to see if the Board was back. So I got some extra work around the house done, and did more reading and listening than I usually do. Perhaps I should learn something from that, but I probably won't. Big Al Posted April 11, 2008 Report Posted April 11, 2008 I was getting work done all day long. :rsmile: Not me... I get _less_ work done when the board is down. It messes up my "flow"... :rsly: You & me both. Most people drink coffee; I check the O-Board. Yeah, those storms were pretty fierce. They're still cleaning up down here, major roads are still closed. The server's in Hurst/Euless/Bedford, right? Hell, next time there's a storm, I'll go down there and make sure everything's OK! Jim Alfredson Posted April 11, 2008 Report Posted April 11, 2008 I checked numerous times, too. Then, as luck would have it, when the site came back up last night, I lost MY internet connection until 3am. Quote
Uncle Skid Posted April 11, 2008 Report Posted April 11, 2008 Most people drink coffee; I check the O-Board. I do BOTH... simultaneously! I'm a multitasking MF! Quote
Soulstation1 Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 James Oscar should call everyone when the site goes down Quote
Van Basten II Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 I say, let's invade this board and act like we didn't care about them. http://icechewing.iswhaticrave.com/ Quote
