ghost of miles
Bummer--that was a good site, one that I checked pretty regularly and had up on the Night Lights links page.
B. Clugston
They had just put up a couple of Coleman's Empty Foxhole recordings.
jimi089
I'd guess it'll be back soon. Looks like they forgot to renew their domain though.

Late
FMP Store Anyone else purchase downloads here? I have John Tchicai's Solo — very nice. Recommendations?
Late
Oh yes — this one is an under-the-radar gem. One of the most disciplined "free" piano albums I've ever heard.

Homefromtheforest
Have not heard the solo album but have the original FMP trio LP...I do recall it being a very interesting trio session indeed. I'll have to play it again some day soon!

erwbol
That one is hard to locate on CD for a reasonable price, unlike some of the other solo albums on FMP. Edited May 1, 2015 by erwbol
SMB1968
That one is hard to locate on CD for a reasonable price, unlike some of the other solo albums on FMP. True, but you can buy the high-rez download from destination-out -- and I've always viewed it as a singular effort in the vast solo Cecil canon. A Lark Ascending
I have a few from them. Reliable and reasonably priced. Good place to take chances.

David Ayers
Bit tight. Why not sell the discs from the 88 set individually?

colinmce
All power to them, but still can't get with dls. I am still holding out for the actual box in this lifetime, but have started grabbing the individual discs.
Leeway
I have all, I think, but one, "In East Berlin 88, " but the DL won't get you the book that came with the box set. Now if they put that on PDF......
erwbol
How is Alms/Tiergarten (Spree)? All I've heard are the two short samples on Allmusic, and there's not been much discussion of it on Organissimo. Now if they put that on PDF...... Though it resembles the CDs from the box, this one is not part of it. It was recorded a month earlier. I purchased a copy from Dusty Groove for $30 but was too late.. someone else had grabbed it. Curses. I've never seen it offered for less than $100. jcam_44
I picked Alms/Tiergarten (Spree) up about a year ago and still haven't given it a proper listen. Was just thinking about it earlier after looking at this thread. May try to give it a spin tonight to report back. Leeway
ALMS = 2 discs, 16 piece all star Euro free improv orchestra, plus Cecil providing impressive additional motive force, better recorded than usual, so, a necessary document. Penguin gives it a strong rating FWIW (4th edition). Basically, can't pass up Cecil in a setting like this!
