bertrand
Does Yusef Lateef count in your Bill Evans list? There's a Steve Davis (bass) and Steve Davis (trombone). I once saw a drummer with that name playing at Visiones. Don't know much about him. Lee Morgan (trumpet) and Lee Morgan (bass). Bertrand. BeBop
Does Yusef Lateef count in your Bill Evans list? Bertrand. No. Having read his autobiography, Gentle Giant, I can't find reason to refer to him as "Bill Evans" in any phase of his life. See, for example, page 1. http://books.google.com/books?id=Y0LAq1KAepEC&printsec=frontcover&dq=yusef+lateef+biography&source=bl&ots=x5-4TyVvCg&sig=yKtEhRfJ0sl-oBKfOSWqy914JcM&hl=en&sa=X&ei=ctdIUIb6HYT20gGqmYCwDw&ved=0CC0Q6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=yusef%20lateef%20biography&f=false (I hope that link's okay) Maybe I missed it, because the fable goes on and on.
