In a marvellous passage about picking up a vinyl copy of the Quintet at Massey hall, he writes: "...and yes, 'Jazz at Massey Hall,' with Charlie Yardbird O'Rooni, Diz The Wiz, Bud Powell, 'Fingus' Mingus, and Max Peuk.
