From time to time I simply need re-listening to this words defying platter ....

Does anyone have an idea why this tribute is relatively brass heavy (2 trumpets, 2 trombones) and reed light (alto & baritone)?
Seems strange to me, as Ellington's reed section was always a highlight - at least for my listening.
