To me, Keezer is the greatest jazz piano talent to appear on the scene in the last thirty years. He has such great technical abilities, but the focus always is on the music, and it all sounds so easy, as if he only has to slightly touch the keys. Amazing.

Was playing Rahsaan Roland Kirk "Now please don't you cry beautiful Edith" Verve Universal Japan cd.

Now playing Antonio Carlos Jobim "Passarim" Verve Japan cd

I used to like this Jobim, but now a decade or two later I get the nostalgic air, the excitement of new love late in life, and the sad grief in the words "dos bessos nunco mas"--those kisses . , . never more.

This fantastic recording from 1973 is beautiful. Stunning arrangements by Claus Ogerman, wonderfully conducted by Harry Lookovsky and performed by great musicians, Jobim's wonderful direction, singing Ā and playing. . . . As time goes by I love this one more and more.

The band swings like mad on this one! Nice fatĀ arrangements with just four horns, Henry Boozier, Tom McIntosh (who wrote them), Jimmy Heath, and Tate Houston.

Thanks for the tip. Missed it back when, ordered it now.
