I like Teddy Edwards her much more than on any other album I have heard him play. Will look for more from this year. And just as I asked myself if there were more records with Billy Higgins in an organ combo (after hearing him on Shirley Scott's Strata East album) - well, here 'tis! I returned that and ordered it from an eBay seller. Yesterday, the package arrived and when I opened it, I found... you guessed it... "Ballads by Four". Clearly they don't even look at what they're shipping: Quote

Dan Gould Posted July 15, 2020 Report Posted July 15, 2020 I am pretty sure Decluttr has a few under their banner. They must have a coding error in their system to send out the same wrong CD and must not train anyone to cross-check the order and the item. Quote
Justin V Posted July 15, 2020 Report Posted July 15, 2020 The Zutty Singleton sides: It's fun hearing Barney Bigard cut loose in such a New Orleans setting. After not spending much time with this set over the years, I am discovering a lot of gems. Quote

JSngry Posted July 15, 2020 Author Report Posted July 15, 2020 Not bad, just jam-y. A bit more rehearsal wouldn't have hurt, but...time is money, etc. fwiw, I lucked into my copy and did not have to pay that for it. Believe me, if I would have had to, I'd gladly have passed, all that nervouscorny tenor playing just to hear Turrentine, no thanks. Â Â Quote
