I love those late 60´s Miles albums in transition from acoustic to slightly electric, here especially the first track "Stuff".....

It has always stood out for me as yet another New Direction Miles explored. A friend of mine makes a convincing case calling this the "Prog Rock Miles Davis" album. And what also is noticably different is the recording placement of Tony and Herbie, which draws one's attention to them in part because they are usually recorded in a mirror image to the listeners' perspective.

Each of these compositions are portraits in a new way in Miles' work. "Country Son" I sometimes think of as a piece reflecting Coltrane. Tony is a bit Elvin in spots and Herbie is very very "on."

Excellent date, with Bailey sounding especially inspired. But a date which also raises a question. The title track is here credited to Bill Barron, but, on Yusef Lateef's THE CENTAUR AND THE PHOENIX, it is credited to Kenny Barron. What's the real story here?

That one is pretty interesting. The lead track is called 'Polygamy' and discusses the pros and cons of it. Is that the only such song?

Trying to find this - it isn't on the LP I have. It sounds pretty interesting.

Probably my favourite Highlife album ever.  If anyone has any others that they think win out, please let me know. I can always use more highlife in my life.

Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey & His Inter Reformers Band - Eda to mose okunkun - Decca is my favourite Obey, and Obey is my favourite Highlife artist. His rhythm section on this one is fabulous!

If you can't find it, I'll PM you a link.

Also to Experience 001.

Hey, that's great. Thanks.

I have The Horse The Man and The Boy? by Obey and "his international bros" on vinyl, which I love. That one sounds great as well from the video I found. It's going to get ordered!

I don't know where you can get it ordered. Do tell, please. There's probably others I could get, as I've only 39 Obey albums :)

Fresh would be nice, but these will be second handm There are some copies of the LP available on discogs in reasonable enough condition.
