HutchFan Posted September 7, 2021 Report Posted September 7, 2021 Beautiful playing by Getz and excellent compositions & arrangements from Eddie Del Barrio. I think they work well here, but those who don't like synthesizers should steer clear.   Quote

jazzbo Posted September 7, 2021 Report Posted September 7, 2021 (edited) Barney Wilen "La Note Bleue" newe 2 cd set, disc 1 https://www.loustal.nl/2021/assets/images/barney-blue2.jpg[/img] So glad this is now available on cd! I didn't want to spend the dollars on the 2 LP set as I didn't need the book and the price was too high. . . and I'm not buying new vinyl. The second disc is a concert with Jacky Terrason on piano, looking forward to hearing that later this week. I'm a huge Barney fan. I've had this on cd for a long time. It's not one of my very favorite Wilens but I'm always going to enjoy listening to Barney. Edited September 7, 2021 by jazzbo Quote
