As many of my generation, we first had heard the versions of "Maiden" and "Eye of the Hurricane" with VSOP and it was later that I got the BN . With the exception of George Coleman this is the whole later VSOP band. Anyway I head George Coleman with his own group about the same time (around the making of "Amsterdam after Dark"..... Quote
Kevin Bresnahan Posted May 23, 2022 Report Posted May 23, 2022 Renee Rosnes - Kinds Of Love (Smoke Sessions Records). Renee's latest release. As usual, some great compositions played by a great band, with Chris Potter on sax, flute & clarinet, Christian McBride on bass, Carl Allen on drums & Rogerio Boccato on percussian. Unusual to hear her on the Fender Rhodes on a couple of tunes. I can't remember her playing one on any of her other CDs. Quote
jazzbo Posted May 23, 2022 Report Posted May 23, 2022 Louder this time! Bill Evans "Morning Glory" Resonance Records disc 1 Quote

Interesting to hear Warne with such an aggressive drummer. Doesn't seem to bother him at all. Quote
