ghost of miles Posted August 7, 2024 Report Posted August 7, 2024 Liking this one a lot more than some other Herbie Columbias from the late 1970s/early 80s era: Quote
dougcrates Posted August 8, 2024 Report Posted August 8, 2024 Original LP. I can't totally get into this album. This, on the other hand, never disappoints. Quote

Peter Friedman Posted August 8, 2024 Report Posted August 8, 2024 A marvelous new album. I was unfamiliar with tenor sax player Sarah Hanahan and she is the real deal!! Leader of this group pianist Peter Martin plays better than I have ever heard him. This is, for me, one of the very best recordings of the year. Quote

jazzbo Posted August 8, 2024 Report Posted August 8, 2024 (edited) Went into town after the tornado hit in a neighboring town on Tuesday. Some stores are operating off a single generator, a lot of stores still closed, a lot of empty aisles in the grocery store due to food not being refrigerated for a day. Right now, listening to Raul de Souza “Jazzmim”–not the fiery Raulzinho from decades past, but a nice smooth album. Edited August 8, 2024 by jazzbo Quote
