T.D. Posted yesterday at 04:59 PM Report Posted yesterday at 04:59 PM Japanese reissues: The latter is film music from a weird Japanese movie Ke No Haeta Kenju. There are nice jazz tracks with Seiichi Nakamura (reeds) and Takeo Moriyama (d), strangely mixed in with Bach harpsichord numbers from some unknown recording (I can't tell which because all the documentation is in Japanese). I do that now with all my Japanese cd’s and it’s great to be finally able to read those liners 1 hour ago, Gheorghe said: Definitly MY THING. I was mes-mer-ized........... so great. Last night....... jazzbo Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago Starting off a deliciously cool morning with some cool and sophisticated music . . . sounding so so good. Tom Harrell “Prana Dance” High Note cd Wayne Escoffrey and Johnathan Blake are so good here, as always. Quote
jazzbo Posted 13 hours ago Report Posted 13 hours ago One for All “Too Soon to Tell” Sharp Nine cd I believe this is their first as an outfit, sounding quite appropriate after the Harrell disc. Quote

jazzbo Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago Bob Dylan “Time Out of Mind” Sony Blu-Spec CD2 This is such an amazing, powerful album. The new remix is good, but I find that I prefer the original mix–maybe because I have had it so long, but maybe because the swampy density of the sound just seems appropriate for the material. I’ll never tire of this work–the songs, the sequencing, the mood. Quote
