soulpope Posted September 7, 2020 Report Posted September 7, 2020 For now both gentleman are "over there" .... Gary Peacock R.I.P .... Quote
Justin V Posted September 7, 2020 Report Posted September 7, 2020 I am remembering Gary Peacock with his one. With the news of his passing now being confirmed, it makes for a strange day of simultaneously celebrating Sonny's birthday and mourning Peacock's death. Years ago, Ayler Records ended up liquidating their inventory of this one for something silly like $6 including s&h before it went OOP. Quote

Rabshakeh Posted September 8, 2020 Report Posted September 8, 2020 Beaver Harris 360 Degrees Music Experience - Negcaumongus (Cadence, 1981) It's barely recorded at all, but I can't get enough of the duet between Don Pullen on piano and Francis Haynes on steel drums at the start of side two. Quote

HutchFan Posted September 8, 2020 Report Posted September 8, 2020 Perhaps not "Jazz," strictly speaking. ... Then again, who cares when the music is this good? Quote
