Still have a water problem and water only intermittently--plumber is the next to visit us--but finally have power throughout the house and am listening to my system for the first time since Saturday! It sounds STUPENDOUS.

First up: this disc was already in the player from Saturday:

Whitfield and his peers recorded some excellent albums in the 1990's - IMHO there may come a time when they will be regarded as classic jazz albums just like the Blue Notes and Prestiges of the 1950's and 1960's.

This album is really excellent. Most of it is more inside than I expected.
