Spent a few hours getting some things done before upcoming storms arrive and am now settling down for a little listening. Starting off with Duke Ellington “Copenhagen 1964” on Storyville cd. Ellington always lifts and separates me from my frustraton.

Dave Brubeck Quartet "Time Further Out" Columbia cd

Teo Macero produced fine albums, and Fred Plaut engineered many fine ones. This has been a favorite of mine for ages, my parents used to have a copy of this one and "Bossa Nova USA."

Time for some Wayne Shorter, and one that I haven’t listened to in a while, “Schizophrenia.” I think the title keeps me away from pulling this out at times, in my past I had an intimate knowledge of that disease. . . .

This is a great one with Spaulding, Fuller, Hancock, Carter and Chambers.
