Seems to be similar to the 3-Vinyl set "The Great Concert of Charles Mingus" that I bought as a teenager. It was my first Mingus record and anyway my second jazz record. Made me decide to become a musician. A step I never regretted. 

This group was great. I have another record, from later, but it has only Cliff Jordan, Danny Richmond. Dolphy left, Byard left and one Jane Getz is on piano. So it´s only quartet but they really cook, same tunes "Fables" and "Meditations""!

Black Lion has some treasures. I have some of them. Essen Jazz Festival Allstars, Don Byas at Montmatre, Bud Powell Blues for Bouffemont, HotHouse, Strictly Confidential.

And this one is the one I love most NOW, since I listen more to the religious forms of jazz, Pharoah Sanders, late Trane and Albert Ayler....
