jazzbo Posted August 26 Posted August 26 I pulled some items from storage yesterday including the 25 or so LP burns of Duke Ellington Treasury Series recordings I accumulated as part of a collector’s project some years back. Storyville had been reissuing these shows in their fantastic 2 cd series but stopped at one point, I think because the owner passed and there was a chaotic period of inactivity. Motivated fans decided to “finish” the series by compiling the best LP copies and transferring them to cdr. The results are quite good and though Storyville did resume, and complete, D.E.T.S. run (expanded!) in killer sound. . it was still a service to be praised by these fans and I enjoy listening to the LP burns. I’m listening to Vol. No. 37 right now. Quote
