I never noticed before the difference between the original cover and later reissues. Do you see what I see?

Yep, four jelly beans are missing from the reissue.

Wow - I never noticed that before! I wonder when/why they did it? Did they completely re-shoot the shot?

Maybe I'm missing the point (I'm on a mobile phone and can't see the details) but I suppose it's a montage and that they mistakenly used the wrong shot of Lee.

The Lp cover is not perfectly straight, which may affect the appearance. Other than the reissue cover being cropped and lighter, along with the different fonts and number...what am I missing?

What I notice is that the lower middle of the bowl of striped mints is quite dark in the upper photo, but the candies of that area are distinguishable in the lower photo.

Yes Kevin, it's the different shots of Lee that I noticed. In the original, he's like, "Oh, hey there," but in the reissue he's more like, "Saaay Whhhaaatttt?"

It's very noticeable on Lee's forehead. He looks a lot more "surprised" in the second shot.

Yes, I saw that also. I still think it's the same shot, just a little doctored. None of the other parts of the photo are different - clothing and hand, head position. Good catch on Rob's part!

I would vote for a burst shooting rather than a photoshopped picture, especially looking at the chin and the associated shadow. Provided by  Aaron in the LJC wordpress:

I think they're two different shots from the same photo shoot.  There had to be some deliberate reason to switch to the second shot (I like the first shot better).  Could it be that, when it came time to create the CD cover, they couldn't locate the original negative for the first shot?

They did some weird things sometimes.  I'm still puzzled by the cover of Dizzy Reece's Comin' On.  The original cover had a photo, then it didn't:

The "when" I can't tell you.  I discovered it after I got the Mosaic Select.  When I rip the CDs to iTunes, I like to have them by the original albums, including the covers.  A search for Comin' On revealed that, for some reason, they removed the photo.

First time all year!
