Rock or funk or R&B??? Now playing - Spring - Funkin With The Rhythm And Blues (Springs of Sound Music).

I have no idea where I got this nor who "Spring" is. With this cover shot, I have to wonder if I'm his target audience.  Funky stuff... maybe R&B. Fun either way.

I'm listening to these guys for the first time in a LONG time. I forgot how great their song are. On one hand they're LA Punk 80s-90s, but on the other they're talented musicians with extremely well rehearsed vocal harmonies.

On top of that, their singer, Greg Gaffin has a (copied from Wikipedia): "BA Biology, BS Geology and master's in Geology at UCLA. In 2003 he went on to earn his PhD in Zoology from Cornell University"

Would really LIKE to hear this album, but until now it's only been available on vinyl. Today he announced that there will be a 2CD set and a digital version coming out later this year, and his site was open for pre-orders. So I went to order the CD set and it was already SOLD OUT - for a Pre-Order! What's up with that? Did they only have like 100 available or something? Makes no sense.
