makpjazz57 Posted May 18, 2006 Report Posted May 18, 2006 Down here on the south shore of Massachusetts, we had a ton of rain but fortunately, to the best of my knowledge, not much flooding. Today, mostly sunny and around 68 degrees. Not complaining! Marla Quote
Stereojack Posted May 18, 2006 Report Posted May 18, 2006 Down here on the south shore of Massachusetts, we had a ton of rain but fortunately, to the best of my knowledge, not much flooding. Today, mostly sunny and around 68 degrees. Not complaining! Marla Well, I live on the north shore, and there have been numerous reports of flooding. Fortunately, all we experienced was a little water in the basement, not enough to do any damage. Of course, now that the sun has returned, all is right with the world. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 90 degrees today, but low humidity, so it was a fantastic day. 68 now at 11:35 at night. But the summer heat (and hurricane season) is on the horizon... Quote
Man with the Golden Arm Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 So that's why the military was circling the fort yesterday. Apparently Mitt was up in that BlackHawk getting full scope up here on the North Shore. and it's raining again! flooding Quote
catesta Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 We were hammered with rain on and off all day, but nothing too major. Just a few tree limbs down. Quote
chris olivarez Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 Warmest day of the year so far-77 degrees. Currently cloudy and 71 degrees. Quote

Guy Berger Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 God, it was hot here today. I was in the office most of the day and didn't realize it until I started walking home. It's still 94 degrees at 8:30 PM. Guy Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 It was 36 C here yesterday. Today is shaping up to be the same. Good thing there isn't ANOTHER Grant Green being issued today; I was soaked when I got home - we're a long way from the bus stop; all uphill. Spent the rest of the day in my swimming trunks (not a pretty sight). Same today. MG Quote
andybleaden Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 Same?? what the same trunks???? eeeeeeeeewwwwwwwww Hope you are still enjoying the GG! Quote
paul secor Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 (edited) It's only 10 a.m., and it's already friggin' hot here! "Here" is Dutchess County, N.Y. edit: I guess that hot is relative. I could be somewhere else where it's worse. Edited July 18, 2006 by paul secor Quote
Man with the Golden Arm Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 ...I guess that hot is relative. some of my distant cousins down in West Virginia thought so... Quote
tonym Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 31 deg C and a very warm wind. The tar is coming right up so North Yorks council in their infinite wisdom see fit to dispatch some gritter lorries with fine gravel to cover the surface of most affected roads. Cheap and nasty intervention to our already cacky roads Quote
JohnS Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 Two or three degrees less on the south coast, sea breezes are keeping it a little cooler. Still uncomfortable for us Brits though. Quote
Stefan Wood Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 Hot. Damn hot. Tarzan can't stand this kind of heat. Predicting 100 degrees here in DC, plus stifling humidity. Quote
