  2. I know I'll enjoy it. The big ass storm has stopped. We seem to have a few day respite against us.
  3. I’m at the Fort Lauderdale airport on my way home. It was really good. If anything, it was just a bit too much Jazz. Going to gigs from 9:00 AM to midnight for 7 straight days is more live jazz than I’ve ever seen at any other point in my life. Even Newport is only 3 days. 😀😀 Also, I have to admit, some of these cruise people, especially some of the older women, can be assholes. 😀😀
  4. Martinu, Complete Piano Works Emil Leichner (piano) (Supraphon)
  5. R.I.P. Carlos Ward Yeah, I noticed that when I was grabbing the image from Discogs. Very odd.
  6. Have the Japanese pressing which, surprisingly, contains less music!
  7. Venue says it's the group with Taborn & Potter. 👍

  11. Wow. Then there's at least a decent chance this series has it as well. I must not have listened close enough. I don't have the software to measure it either, so that's why I don't want my answer to be definitive.
  12. He's great on the two Ed Blackwell albums on Enja as well ... I fell in love with his playing as a kid, hearing his solos on "African Marketplace" again and again - one of my mom's favourite records, and now one of my own favourites.

  14. Yes, I purchased Red Clay (KICJ 2545) in the "CTI+RVG Ultimate Remastering Series", from 2017, which I believe was a re-press of a 2009 series. There is a lot of compression and peak limiting.
  15. I think Katchen is at his best with the "thunder and lightning" Brahms. Extroverted & fiery.
