  3. Today
  4. Ok, one master tape being used 100s of times over the years makes more sense than one tape just being used to record on 100s of times. Or one machine being used just 100s of times. If I was an editor, I would ask for a more clear delineation of the shifts of context between "two tape decks" "one set" and "assembled". Somebody like me who doesn't really speak English (or so it has been accused) can (and) did) get confused!
  5. I saw them perform that, very special
  6. I understood the statement in the way Kevin explained; deck=tape machine, set=(composite) tape. I don't find it surprising or unreasonable that the tape for a 70 year old and hugely successful album would have been accessed many times. Discogs lists 160 different releases of this album.
  7. Wrong thread I see now. More classical than jazz of course

  9. Take 'em all for $250
  10. But "used many 100s of times"? Surely not a tape reel? And the deck itself would be used more than that, right? Including cleaning/demagnetizing/etc. Did decks/recorders really have that short of a lifespan? I think I know what he's trying to say?
  11. Julius Hemphill NM condition $30 shipped Paypal US only Henry Threadgill NM condition $50 shipped Paypal US only Lester Bowie NM condition $25 shipped Paypal US only Taylor & Murray gone, take the last three for $75
  12. Nice find . . . probably my favorite Shakti album! NP: Disc 1
  13. Yes, the collection is limited, but this is not the reality in our homes 😂 ...
  14. Jazz is Dead 3, Marcos Valle
  15. But couldn't you just wait until the end of the season and order a whole set of the cards from Post? I could have sworn I did that one year.
  16. But the Kellogg's cards were inside the box. The Post cards were on the back of the box. Scissor technique came to the fore!
  17. I'm gonna wait for the lyrics. Color me skeptical, nut not unmovable so.
  18. Fascinating. But the way it looks there seems to be no chance of expanding the collection. Potentially sounding treasure with look at it only.
  19. I have never seen so many tributes, obituaries etc. on facebook - he really was universally loved and respected.
  20. I do have that one. Thanks.
