I am thinking about offering a broadcast every week or so to those interested . I have hundreds of Marian McPartland’s Piano Jazz shows, in addition to other NPR and APR/PRI and other broadcasts. Share your email via pm to obtain the Piano Jazz with Ed Bickert. There is a three day limit to download once you receive it. Maybe others will make similar offers, but I am not expecting anything in return.

I assume the original point about mysteries was more about Agatha Christie type stuff rather than detective novels.

“Songbook by Jason Palmer” Ayva cd This was I believe Jason Palmer’s first release as a leader and it sounds very “mature.” Palmer deserves more attention. I would have suggested Connelly's Bosch books but they seem like very good examples of murder mystery novels to me.
