  1. Past hour
  2. As Howard McGhee introduced him to a group of confused rock guitarists back in the early 70s at a Jazz Interactions classroom in NYC: "Here's Attila the Hun!".
  3. Clint has said what a huge jazz fan he is.
  4. This one mentioned above may be my favorite album by Elvin as a leader. While I very much enjoy many (but not all) of his performances as sideman, The majority of his albums as leader are not to my taste.
  5. Yeah, huge fear if the power cuts out, then I can't watch the football conference championships.
  6. Attlia Zoller was a superb guitarist/musician. I've been on a Zoller kick for the last few weeks, and I've thoroughly enjoyed everything I've heard by him!
  7. Thanks for the post and link. Listening now and enjoying the album
  8. We've been getting sleet for a couple of hours on top of about 8" of snow. Just hope it stays sleet and doesn't turn to freezing rain. Temp 17, real feel 3, gonna be tough if we lose power.
  9. We're at around a foot right now and it's windy, blowing all over the place. The snow's still coming down hard, but I imagine that by tonight it'll relax a bit. We are supposed to get around two feet!
  10. My family in the Texas hill country had a pipe burst and have dealt with graupel, but are otherwise ok. Supposed to warm up a bit and then refreeze, so may be messy soon. My wife is in Atlantic City for work, and they had 6" overnight. I'm supposed to go join her on Wednesday, hopefully flights are closer to normal by then.
  11. Today
  12. Crazy list, I only have 26 and I didn't even know I had one of them.
  13. yes, they alway offer streaming and download options for their albums - CDs, though, haven't happened yet in this series.
  14. Too many slabs, not enough time. But we can try.
  15. We had two inches overnight.
  16. Hopefully a download will follow. Would much prefer a compact disc issue, but am not holding my breath. I need to spin this album soon!
  17. Yes. That's the absolute worst. Back in 2022, we lost power for 9 days due to freezing rain. It's definitely something to take seriously. Flashlights, generators (if you own one), and camping stoves! Plus—lots of blankets. Oh! And "pedestrian crampons" really helped. More or less like these.
  18. Whoa—don't know that one. So many slabs to discover!
  19. Wow! Thanks for this additional list. I'm unfamiliar with a lot of those records. Dig this one from 1980.
