Is it really true that no one has recorded anything for years? I know that’s not the case, but this thread does seem to have been somewhat forgotten. I don’t play music for a living and don't consider myself as a professional, but I’ve been fortunate enough to perform in some good bands. This time of year feels like the moment to share some of the Christmas music I recorded last year. I play the piano and did the arrangements, as part of a commission to record “background” jazz versions of Christmas tunes for streaming platforms.

I have the OJC CD and the 1996 LP released by Analogue Productions, which sounds pretty great, so I have no need to pick up this new one. I agree that the music is very nice. I don't agree on getting by the cheesecake cover. I always got a chuckle from it.

I saw him 8 months after "Amsterdam" at the Keystone Korner w/Hilton Ruiz, Eddie Moore, Herbie Lewis. And again in '81 with the same group except for Billy Higgins on drums. Unfortunately my memory of those shows is pretty vague
