  3. Thanks for that "preview." I'm looking forward to mine arriving, probably next week (I have a tracking number but no indication yet that my set has shipped).
  4. My set arrived today. Sound quality wise it’s extremely impressive and surpasses all of the other cds or LPs I have with some of these tracks. Also, Dave Weiner’s notes are excellent! I encourage anyone on the fence to go for it!
  5. I'd be interested in the Coltrane. I'm sure a bunch of us would.
  6. Interesting - though they've also issued later stuff. Monk in 67, Cannonball in 72. Academic for me as I don't have the budget for £60 Coltrane LPs. Also... $290 to ship some records to France! Ouch!!
  7. Sounds convincing. Did their paths cross? Whatvis known about Levister?
  8. A great trio backing Joe on this one. Joe Henderson “mirrormirror” Verve cd Original MPS cover:
  9. Discs 1 & 2 with The Kicker, Tetragon, and Power To The People.
  10. I don’t know why you feel obligated to send them the money after you sell it. They’re a fancy bootleg label anyway. They release stuff outside the EU PD date (1962) and don’t license from the artists… at least that’s what Stan Getz’s estate has said.
  11. That's kind of a strange release. I looked on Amazon and it had a pic of the contents, which despite the tacky packaging were pretty good mainstream jazz stuff from Blue Note, Roulette, Pacific Jazz. Apparently this Battleguard-Twilight label is some sort of Capitol subsidiary.
  12. I am OK with the Brewers sending Peralta away though I wouldn't have chosen the Mets as the destination. If it helps the Cubs win the division, its OK by me.
  13. Alan Silva & The Sound Visions Orchestra. Eremite Records MTE026 [US 2001]
