  2. So I just bought my second motorcycle (if you consider Honda Ruckus one). It's a 2023 Honda CT 125 with only 650 miles on it. Also known as the Honda Trail. I just love it. Top speed clocked by moi at a blood-curdling 56 mph on a straightaway. Took it through some mountain bike trails here in town....far out. That thing can huff and puff just through about anything with 190 lbs of me on it. Got stuck in the sand up to the chain, got off, pulled the rear end out, didn't throw my back doing it...a big plus already. Took me a little bit to figure out the semi-automatic 4-speed transmission...no clutch. The fellow who sold me the Trail also threw in the hitch motorcycle carrier. I'll be exploring the back roads before the bad weather kicks in here in Southern New England....hopefully it'll be a long Fall.

  4. Indeed - my second album!

  6. Have to say I am pleased that this thread made me want to dig out my transfer of the Angry Tenors LP and in flipping thru the binder with Quebec CDs, realized I received From Hackensack to Englewood Cliffs from some kind soul many moons ago.
  7. Highest recommendation on the SAJ Oto 2xCD. This is what it's all about. https://otoroku.bandcamp.com/album/two-days-at-cafe-oto
  8. I've sent an e-mail to Joe Harley, who is my only contact there these days. Hopefully he can do something but it's very very unlikely since they are advertising its availability already. I'm sure it's way past the point where they could add these two tracks. For the past several years, I've tried e-mailing Blue Note's corporate offices many times using Email addresses Michael Cuscuna gave me but no one seems to be reading those E-mails or, if they are, they are simply deleting them... or they have a directive, "If that asshole Bresnahan E-mails, be sure to delete it". It really makes me miss when Cuscuna & Tom Evered were running the reissue program. They were extremely accessible and rarely ignored a valid question. Michael also acknowledged his mistakes and almost always fixed them.

  12. You can get those two cuts by buying the Blue Note Ike Quebec Jukebox, which has all the contents on replica OG 45s.
  13. There are a lot of regional pronunciations in Canada and I've heard both "kwe-BEK" and "ke-BEK" but never "QWEE-bek" or "KEE-bek"

I'd love a copy of the Myers album, but otherwise I don't think these are too hard to come by. The MB solo is a perennial $20 used LP, the Sun Ra has been reissued several times, the Wertman was reissued a few years ago and it still around, and the McCraven is being prepared for reissue now via a Kickstarter campaign: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/wooleythenewt1/stephen-mccraven-wooley-the-newt
  17. So how do the Canadians pronounce the city of "Quebec"? From what I remember from those I've encountered around here or heard on Canadian Army radio (when there still was such a thing here) it is more like "kwe-BEK" or "ke-BEK" but rarely "QWEE-bek" or "KEE-bek". I.e pronounced with the stress on the end (as with the habitants referred to as the "ke-BEKKERS"). But as you indicate, it apparently is different with his name.
