This was recently reissued as a OJC. Wonder if they got the rights from Craft.

What Classical Music Are You Listening To?
mikeweil replied to StarThrower's topic in Classical Discussion
I say it again, Pramsohler is the greatest. I will buy all of his CDs. Audax is his label, btw. -
That's interesting. The dutch player? Did he say this somewhere? I sort of missed Clusone at the time, and I have never really got to grips with his music as a result, although I always enjoyed their records.
-
My feeling is the TPs should stick to instrumental jazz.
-
I love this one! Carmelo Garcia and Carlos Vidal are great.
-
“A Portrait of Duke” Frank Roberscheuten, a Dutch recording of great Ellington tunes on Arbor cd

This looks like another re-re-rerecyled reissue for incurable upgraders. I'm extremely selective about what Sinatra records I feel I need in my record collection anyway, so I for one will stick with my reissue by Dutch Capitol (Vol. 4 in the "The Frank Sinatra Story" LP series).
-
Listening again to the instrumental remixes of the first two LP sides of Yes “Tales from Topographic Oceans” in the 12-cd 2 LP Super Deluxe Edition.
-
Michael Moore was the first name that came to my mind
-
I wouldn't say Immanuel Wilkins "claims primary inspiration" from Desmond--I'd be very surprised if he did--but I hear strong elements of his sound at time in Wilkin's own sound. I love them both.
-
A master pianist with a wonderful big band. Nice way to start off what should be a cooler cloudy day. Adullah Ibrahim and WDR Big Band Cologne “Bombella (Gold Train-South Africa)” Sunnyside cd
-
Norman Connors should be listed as Etc. Since he allegedly ruined the date.
-
Are there any reed players who claim primary inspiration or some other form of artistic descent from Paul Desmond? I'm always struck by how much I love his playing every time I listen to his records.

Great interviews and footage I've never seen before. Thanks for RE-posting.

What rock music are you listening to? Non-Jazz, Non-Classical.

HA! I have no idea. I only recently got turned on to Swervedriver, and don't know that much about them. I listened to disk 2 this afternoon! Been on a major Jansch/Pentangle binge lately. Such a unique band! -

An hour in and I think they've done a really good job on this; connecting his roots, music and philosophy in a cohesive presentation.
