Yes, I found out about that sometime after 2003. Sonny Red has several performances captured by Phil Schaap at the West End spanning 1976 thru 1979: https://aviary.library.vanderbilt.edu/collections/2137/collection_resources/162348?collection_resource_file_id=295705 These two are with Howard McGhee: https://aviary.library.vanderbilt.edu/collections/2137/collection_resources/141630?collection_resource_file_id=262024 https://aviary.library.vanderbilt.edu/collections/2137/collection_resources/131115?collection_resource_file_id=294954

So am I.

His last date was in the late 70s with Howard McGhee and Benny Bailey. Home Run is the record.

Dylan-esque for sure. Glad he did it.

If you are in the Hudson Valley, I'd like to alert you to the 30th installment of "So, What Do You Think?" at Tubby's in Kingston, New York on Sunday, March 1. This concert presents the music of Chicago-based saxophonist / clarinetist Keefe Jackson with bassist Luke Stewart (Irreversible Entanglements, SILT Trio, Blacks' Myths) and percussionist Mikel Patrick Avery (Natural Information Society, BASIC). This will be a powerful evening of improvised music that is not to be missed. Doors at 7pm, concert at 8pm $20 at the door or in advance. (ticket link to follow) I might also play records before/after if there's time! Band bios attached for your perusal. We look forward to seeing you out there! Keefe Jackson Trio bio.pdf

Thanks! Getting lead sheets is possible but a lot harder than in the 90s when I went wild. Blame it on COVID and hiring freezes. Do you know who is the publisher for Cootie's music?

No updates from anybody, but using the Google Internet to look up my tracking #, I can see that the item has been Delayed In Dallas, which is understandable
