Yep, I was happy to stumble across Bangalore -- and the other two Mariano albums, as well. I've heard them all via streaming services, but I'm looking forward to hearing the music on my stereo in higher fidelity.

Nice find! That Bangalore album has been on my discogs wish list, but I haven't been keeping up. No doubt you got DG's only copy. 😁

Saw this thread referenced elsewhere on the board and thought I'd resurrect it. I have two sets that I got directly from Mosaic years ago that came with booklets, but in plain boxes. So, I am looking for the actual outer boxes that came with the sets. 1. Shorty Rogers 2. Herbie Nichols I check eBay and Discogs every once in a while. I recently snagged a George Lewis outer box on Discogs, which knocked that one off my list. Still looking for the other two.

Yesterday, I ordered three Charlie Mariano CDs from Dusty Groove: Outstanding.

I'm still surprised that this 2-CD set has never been reissued. It's virtually gone on the market. There's been one for sale on discogs for crazy money for several years and the history shows only one sold. You would think Joey's estate would put this out. I think this year I'm going to have to bite the bullet and buy the mp3 downloads from Amazon.

I watched a Bogie film last night too: -
What a fascinating line-up. I don't think I've ever seen this album before. What do you think of it, @kh1958?

I fondly remember those Firestone records, and while some of the stuff was pretty lame, the memories I have of those Christmas songs being played at Christmas time as a kid are not. A few albums I enjoyed then and have CDs of now are the Nat King Cole - The Christmas Song, Christmas with Chet Atkins, Glen Campbell - That Christmas Feeling, and Harry Belafonte - To Wish You A Merry Christmas.

One of the budget cinemas in Toronto was showing Jeanne Dielman. (A strange choice.) I figured the only way I would stick it out was in the theatre, as opposed to watching at home. I'm sure that is the case after sitting through it this evening. I'll just say I am not a fan and leave it at that.
