  1. Past hour
  2. It's at the Lace Mill in Kingston (where Michael Bisio has his monthly events) at 4 PM. Asking for a mere $10 donation. Weirdly not displayed on Lace Mill Facebook page, but I saw it today on the "Woodstock NY Local Music Gigs" FB page. Also on Kingston Artists Collective FB.
  3. Chris Cochrane is a great guitarist. Andrew Drury is a fine drummer. Where & when? Maybe I can drive up to Kingston area if it’s there. I looked! Untouchable Bar but no time listed. Jill Burton is some sort of singer, I see.
  4. Today
  5. Recalled just in time the Indian concert is tomorrow...today instead will go for improv by Chris Cochrane, Andrew Drury and Jill Burton. This is a real shot in the dark, don't know what to expect.
  6. last night in Schenectady, Sarah Hanahan Quartet. Sarah on alto sax, Caelan Cardello on piano, Matt Dwonszyk on bass, and Sam Bolduc on drums.
  7. Judson Hall, I believe I seem to remember but I may be wrong that there is a photo of Brownie at an esp-disk session at Judson Hall
  8. Thanks. The new fad is for press releases to only mention the LPs.
  9. Ive noticed that studios are seldomly if not never mentioned. It always says: recorded in NYC. Did ESP Disk use the same studios for recording or is there anything known where those sessions took place?
  10. Cherubini String Quartets No.1 and No.6 - Hausmusick
  11. It didn't bother me that much. I just think it was stupid. Set and disc are not synonymous. And FWIW, why stop there if that's what they were doing? Why not call the first nights' discs 1A, 1B, 1C & 1D & the second nights' discs 2A, 2B, 2C & 2D? It would have made just as much sense.
  12. It is so quiet and still here this morning, no distraction from great sound. Started with Grateful Dead “From the Mars Hotel Angel Share” second half 640×640 810 KB Followed by Jason Palmer “Rhyme and Reason” disc 2 Mark Turner–a great partner for Jason. 300×273 23.5 KB
  13. October 4 Steve Swallow - 1940 Saw him in Göttingen with Carla Bley as duo November 13, 1993 and with John Scofield and Bill Stewart as trio November 3, 2006.
  14. It's been out of print a long time.
  15. LP one and two. That’s Berlin and Lorrach.
  16. I've started reading the "Wishing on The Moon" biography by Clarke (will certainly not do it in one go, but anyway). And "The Song of the Hawk" will be next. I couldn't help wondering to what extent it can be used as the bio-discography that Medjuck suggests, but my first impression is that it's not quite that obvious. Unless you take the discussions of the sessions more as reviews. Which is not a bad thing because some of these actual bio-discographies (of which there are several in that book lot too) are a bit short on the "bio" side anyway.
  17. MV 2661 (Japan 1979) - Stan Getz And Gerry Mulligan / Stan Getz And The Oscar Peterson Trio - rec 1957 (both sessions)
