If I had them, shake. (Speaking of, Sonic shakes was our source but damn they are expensive. Now that I don't eat that stuff, if we do Sonic my wife gets a medium shake (Banana) and I eat something from the chicken portion of the menu and 2-3 of her Tots.)

Based on a few recommendations I decided to get the Percy France Trio CD. In the end iIt cost me quite a bit more than anticipated, with overseas shipping, 21% tax (Dutch VAT) and a handling fee upon arrival. I'm not sure yet whether it was worth the cost, but it's a nice date.

Yeah... I've found that CD is typically the better option for these archival live releases, as the sound quality usually doesn't justify the additional expense and inconvenience of vinyl.

I'm jealous that you had a chance to see the Breuker Kollektief live. If you'd like to sample Live in Berlin, you can listen to a couple cuts here: https://destination-out.bandcamp.com/album/live-in-berlin . . . FWIW, Bandcamp calls it one of Breuker's "most important albums." I'm not at all a Breuker expert. I only know a few of his recordings, and this LP is new to me. But I love the crazy mixture of different elements in his music, how it veers all over the place stylistically from madcap to tender. Another Muse LP now on my 'table:

OK, here is Percy France playing his tenor saxophone at his own surprise birthday party, August 15, 1989, and that is Joe Newman in profile at right.
-
I had ordered the vinyl when that was the only option but now switched to the cd.

The Kollektief are one of my most memorable live experiences and I never really found the LPs to live up to it. Not sure I tried this one though

Next up: Bruce Forman - 20/20 (Muse, 1982)

I received the following response from Zev on Instagram, regarding the limited nature of this series: "Time Traveler just needs to be cautious pressing the right amount, especially out of the gate for the label launch. As we go deeper into the series if we notice a greater demand weβll consider pressing accordingly but we want to go into this carefully. We have invested lots of resources to build what I think is the definitive edition which I hope youβll agree. Iβd encourage anyone interested to please pre order now. Thanks again to one and all for your support. Weβre just getting started."

They have only announced three so far: Roy Brooks - The Free Slave, Kenny Barron - Sunset to Dawn, and Carlos Garnett - Cosmos Nucleus. He's been involved in some fantastic releases, though. The Xanadu CD reissue series from a decade ago was my introduction to him. Since then, he's been involved in many releases on the Elemental and Resonance labels that I'm happy to have in my collection. He also was involved in the Lee Morgan 'Live at the Lighthouse' box set that was a dream come true for many. So, overall, I'm glad he's out there doing his thing.

Excellent news! Thanks for sharing.
