This was recorded in the same year as Dorham's Blue Note "Una Mas" date. Kenny sounds very good here.

On the Dusty Groove site alone (all because the spellings on the releases themselves) — sometimes he’s Rickey, sometimes Ricky (no ‘e’) — and I think I’ve occasionally seen Rick.

Anything with Charles Tyler is exceptional, worth hearing, and if Earl Cross is there, even better. I am fortunate to have recordings from ny 1974, utrecht moers paris 1977. There's an astonishing duo with Steve Reid 1980, besides much more. Charles at the Knitting Factory in 1990. Even a cassette he sent me from his New Ensemble in France the same year. I could never do him justice on homeboy music, but no-one else seems interested. Re-releases are wonderful, tho I personally favour cd technology. But there is so much music still hidden, practically lost, beside the floods on youtube

There's a Nimbus West album that could use a reissue. Funny cover. Apparently RK drove a bus. Here's an interview:

Same here, I LOVE it, and .....no influence at all, but a coincidence.....that dramatic effect of the voice, spoken and sung on the title track ....such a thing will be on our upcoming album. And yeah. Though this music might have been recorded almost 60 years ago, people still tend to not understand it. But it´s such a natural thing.....it only needs listening.....it´s beautiful !!!! You really got it, both McLean and Pharoah, exactly hand in gloves with my musical tastes.....😀 Yeah, it´s astonishing....so many people scream over the collaborations with Gil Evans, and here we are some people with big ears, but obviously not prepared for that kind of music...... I love the melody of Concierto de Aranjuez, but not in that setting....Miles is more than okay.....but it would have been great with a small group with guitar. I love "Aranjuez" as a melody really much and even quote from it in my composition "Miss RA´s Choice" since the girl I dedicated it to, was born in Spain, so it´s just a musical "nod" towards the place of her arrival (....hey she claims to be Sun Ra´s spiritual daughter and that´s why she doesn not say "birth country"...but "place of arrival (on earth) 😍)

Amazing ... I wasn't even aware that the ubiquitous BILLY bookcases by IKEA had such a CD insert spinoff too. The way my record collection has expanded in more recent years and is now occupying two Billy bookcases in an adjacent room as well (in addition to a wall of sturdier and modular shelves in my original music room) I'd be able to make good use of some of these inserts. But as they have been discontinued 10+ years ago as you say ...

I found the My Kind of Music LP in a cut out bin many years ago--after listening, musically it proved to be one of my favorite such finds ever.

Yes! Also Steve Potts (b. 1943) and Kevin Norton (b. 1956).

Now I was thinking of another cup of coffee, so I put on Bob Dylan’s “Desire” Mobile Fidelity Lab SACD.

CDs. The Billy bookcase holds 6 CD inserts. Each insert was $30 CAD but was discontinued 10+ years ago. Each insert holds 136 standard jewel case CDs and a fully loaded bookcase with 6 inserts holds 816. It was a great product and looks like custom shelving.
