  1. I used to distribute them.
  2. Beth is Bob Cummins daughter.
  3. It would have cost about $.35 a disc plus postage to correct an error in a premium, expensive, limited edition product. Then I wouldn't consider them dickheads. I bet no more than a hundred customers caught (or cared about) the mistake.
  4. Hip-0 offered an mp3 download for the erroneous track. Why not a corrected disc?
  5. And include one wrong track, which Mosaic corrected IIRC.
  6. I was there to book some studio time for a Roscoe Mitchell project, On the other hand, I do have 15 Gator cds.
  7. I had the pleasure of attending the session for Single Action. It was my first time at Rudy's.
  8. So around 6 tonight Ann heard a bang in the garage, where all our stuff is stored. A large limb from a neighbor"s tree is impaled in the garage roof, just above my cds. Fun abounds.
  9. The JATP is a 78 album and the big Mosaic is Commodore vol 1. Nobody spotted Spring of 2 Bluejays behind my chair.
  10. Tabligh is a favorite
  11. I wondered if anyone would catch that. Must be from my father's house. Cousins went there.
  12. My collection software says 6168 cds and 841 lps. The bulk of my vinyl was sold to finance cd reissues.
  13. We will be using 3 of the large pods.
  14. Whatever the subject, there always "a bunch of stuff buried somewhere". Life is too short.
  15. Spent some time with him before and after a solo recital this week. Last time I spoke with him was 1966. Interesting man.
  16. The view of my basement office tonight at 6:00.
  17. AFAIK Mickey Mouse is under copyright so.........
  18. Why assume that?
  19. There are a couple of Auld Musicraft discs available on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Middle-Georgie-Orchestra-Sarah-Vaughan/dp/B000003MSV/ref=sr_1_11?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1523230251&sr=1-11&keywords=Georgie+Auld https://www.amazon.com/Handicap-Georgie-Auld/dp/B000008PAR/ref=sr_1_25?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1523230336&sr=1-25&keywords=Georgie+Auld
  20. Memory says the small group sides were originally Guild and the big bands were Musicraft.
  21. Some interesting Artie Shaw and Georgie Auld big band sides, early Mel Torme and Sarah Vaughan too. The label began in the late '30s and by the late '60s had gone to sleep. Albert Marx (producer of some of the '40s sessions) picked up the pieces around 1980 and reissued a number of things on lp and cd. He eventually sold to Jac Holzman and Musicraft is now in the quagmire called Universal.
