  2. Not sure. The address will be good for a couple of months.

  4. Thanks that the word of God has spoken. I just remembered I am agnostic.

  6. Back in the day when I went to hear Coltrane in person (half a dozen times), I was usually bummed when he picked up the soprano. Thank goodness he did to issue in a generation (beyond Lacy and Bechet) of soprano players. I did prefer him on tenor.
  7. Sigh.
  8. LOL!
  9. With 98% of my music packed for a move, I am limited to a few recent acquisitions. Being deprived of my Billies, I ordered this and am enjoying disc one. Hard to pass up for $15.
  10. That would be "Delmark's hands".
  11. I was there and the room and booth were a minimalist's studio. Better than some "dedicated" studios I have visited. I have been to Rudy's, Columba's 30th Street and a bunch of others. Boxes of records are good sound absorbers.
  12. Sometimes I think I hear god in the Tannhauser overture and sometimes I think it's a trick. Anyway, it sounds great.
  13. Mine is circa '74/75. In addition to a great deal of cleaning it needed 4 caps, 11 bulbs and 1 transistor. Couple of rehabbed copies for sale online - $2000-2500.
  14. Any indication of an "artist" inside Mr. Washington?
  15. After about 15 years of neglect, I have had this monster refurbished and it sounds fabulous.
  16. Yes, it happens often.
  17. Disc 1 of the Mosaic JPJ set.
  18. Not a fan of the concept, but if they got paid all is good.
  19. Wow, great. Sorry we won't make any of these... Maybe you can connect with Hallwalls in Buffalo next time.
  20. In honor of Lorraine Gordon.
  21. The music is better than the cover.
  22. Yeah, I had an interesting conversation with Warne and Lou Levy about the sessions.
  23. I was lucky enough to spend a long afternoon in a hotel bar with her circa 1981. She was charming. I told her Alfred Lion was an "idol" of mine - she said "me too".
