  1. Isn't more fun to listen to music when there are still unresolved questions than when we already know all the answers - that would be like watching the same episode of Jeopardy back-to-back....or like listening to Oscar Peterson.....what's the point? Great post. Thanks.
  2. I like Hamid a bunch. I wonder about Parker. I have lots of admiration and questions about Peter. That's the way I roll after 50 years of listening to this stuff, and paying money for some of it. Enjoy what you enjoy.
  3. Fanboy might have missed a "limited" Okka release of For Don Cherry by the duo of Hamid and Mats Gustafsson.
  4. Good for him. Great news all around.
  5. LOL!! That goes for me too.
  6. That is the common name for the "japanese" looking sleeves with white paper inside one side of a plastic sleeve. You must have some.
  7. Dick Sherman Dick Clark George W Bush
  8. Never watched the Brady Bunch but remember her from the Bob Cummings Show.
  9. Poetry is one of my allergies. Sorry.
  10. Guess I should say anyone else in the area is welcome to stop by.
  11. Drop by Mark - you need to hear the Bradford/Gjerstad master!
  12. Two things I find difficult to understand; guys (really?) and it is left for me to post the obvious:
  13. He is a master of the pedals.
  14. A new interview with ME!! http://peaceandrhythm.blogspot.com/2014/05/peace-rhythms-interview-with-chuck.html
  15. My experience as well. The old single blade design made me bleed almost every time. In those days everyone had a styptic pencil in their shaving kit. I welcome the "expense".
  16. I would guess the Bowie is "dime sourced".
  17. Listening to my first pressing (heavy, stereo, promo) of Horace's Jody Grind. I noticed the 3rd track is "counted off" and need to check the BN cd (a needle drop) to see if it is edited out.
  18. I am still relegated to reading ingredients on cans. I hope things improve.
  19. At some point I have respect for myself as a typist but do not compare my experiences and/or ideas with Hemingway or Faulkner. Nor do I really understand all they did. And so it goes... The whole "I play the instrument" thing only goes so far with me.
