  1. All orders have been shipped. Thanks.
  2. $15 each in North America. I will quote shipping for elsewhere. Thanks.
  3. PayPal works for nessarecords@charter.net . Thanks for asking.
  4. Last time I was too impatient - do you take orders now and if so, how much for Early Combinations including shipping to the Netherlands? Taking orders. $18 delivered in the Netherlands. Thanks.
  5. The new releases are supposed to be delivered in the morning, but we leave the next day for Buffalo and our grandchild. We will try to get any orders tomorrow and the rest will go when we return on the 14th. Thanks.
  6. No matter the mastering, Pop's recordings have changed my life. No mastering engineer has done that.
  7. Spotify and other streams don't pay shit. Only fractions of fractions of pennies per tune.
  8. Lest anyone is confused. The Chicago festival shows are free. I find whining unattractive.
  9. I have the cd and only Round Midnight (5:10) and All the Things You Are (9:20) are on the disc. Misha plays piano and Rob Langereis is the bassist.
  10. But it does demolish any legal logic used to justify this board policy. The point of the policy, I presume, is to immunize Jim from lawsuits lodged by copyright holders. But if the world's largest online retailer is selling the product, arguing that linking to such products will amount to likely lawsuits for Jim makes no sense. The point of a lawsuit is to obtain relief from harm; if nobody is bothering to sue Amazon, which is causing about 1,000,000x the harm Jim is in such a case...then why does Jim have anything to fear? It's asinine. This seems to be the "relax and enjoy it" answer.
  11. I am curious if you were there or just read Reich. I have a number of issues with your post but do not have time. BUT: I am not a huge Vandermark fan but think he did a great job by presenting a number of players the audience would not hear otherwise. The New Jungle Orchestra was dandy - Pierre always outdoes himself. I think the number of "new faces" of real talent were worth a gazillion "name" retreads. I think the Grant Park facility is more intimate and "neighborhood" than Pritzker. Maybe more later. The discussion of fest funding is a much larger and more complex issue. Sand don't have anything to do with it.
  12. Graf had the first modern jazz date on Delmark. Wess Coles date is from 1988 at Yoshis.
  13. Yes, a live is added.
  14. Ah, demonmath. I forgot about that.
  15. It has been this way for hundreds of years. Why is it a topic?
  16. I am sure a decent percentage of Ken's collection is "promos". Not necessarily a bad thing but difficult to match if you be payin'.
  17. Charles was a lovely, happy guy and a "spark plug" sort of player. He seemed to be a natural. I am sure that is how he got connected to the Chicago Symphony program. At this point, that's all I can add. I saw/heard him in dozens of gigs and some recording sessions. Sorry I'm not eloquent right now. Maybe more later when I'm not thinking of dead musicians. Why not start a thread asking for info/memories? Might get some stuff from some of us old folks.
  18. Yes, this disc completes the set in 24 bit (and a bunch of other tweaks - I'm better at this stuff than I was back then). Thanks for asking.
  19. Ah, the last 2 pieces of that disc make up my upcoming new release:
  20. Currently in the US it is an abbreviation of Vanessa - never could get nessa.com 'cause of some female. My name is from a farming area of Norway I am told. A fair number of Italian fans want to claim me as one of their own.
  21. I always wanted to pick up this one 'cause it has a piece called Nessa. Never did it though.
  22. This is in Sangrey's neighborhood. Maybe he can report.
  23. Be sure to watch The Video
  24. He as a member of the best McCoy Tyner band I ever heard. It was a quartet with Herbie Lewis and Eric Gravatt. They played in a bar in Madison while I lived there in the early '70s. Cecil Taylor was standing by the stage and was jumping up and down. Very powerful performance.
