  1. It is so hard to choose.
  2. The Fish deal lasted from '78 thru '81. I continued to press it after that with an new label design. I believe the last pressing was in November of '86.
  3. First pressings had a Madison, WI address. First 2000 covers had artists names in "purple" ink, like the circle in the center. This was changed to "drop out" white on the first reprint a few months later. Label for pressings until 1978 matched the color on the cover - white bottom/"purple" top. Master number etched in dead wax - 15703. During the years 1971-1977 the record was pressed/repressed at least 7 times. The green label appeared when I made a distribution deal with Flying Fish records.
  4. First pressings shipped July 9, 1971.
  5. You can easily burn many classic sessions 2 to a cdr. Lots of Prestige sessions fit this way.
  6. Sounds like an interesting bunch o music.
  7. Too bad the podcast and audio links don't include the ending of the show - they played the complete version of Jah Jah Is the Perfect Love from Procession of the Great Ancestry. Really pleased for Wadada. He's had a good year.
  8. Paudras, not Postif, in Round Midnight.
  9. When did the French become associated with toast?
  10. We pronounce it Abernathy.
  11. Every classical fan should read Charles Rosen's The Classical Style - Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven. I got it when published in 1971 and still refer to it today. The '70s weren't so bad after all.
  12. Nobody has mentioned the Argo/Cadet records by John Young. He also did a Vee Jay date issued sometime in the late '70s I don't have. Any help would be appreciated.
  13. And I couldn't believe this thread wasn't started by TTK!
  14. Always good to know when he's out of the country.
  15. Not certain from your first post if you want stuff for an mp3 player or a portable cd player - or are you open to any possibility?
