  5. There was a big purge in 1967/68 when major labels (including Liberty) stopped the dual inventories of stereo and mono. Lots of mono only releases went straight to the cutout bins.

  13. Shearing was the first "national" jazz group I saw. Never entertained buying the box but did purchase a few lps back in the day. YMMV.

  20. Roscoe and Myrick met in high school. Myrick participated in some of the early "Experimental Band" rehearsals, as did Eddie Harris and Satterfield among others, but this was before the formation of the AACM.
