  1. Other rashes to follow.
  2. I thought the Paris Hilton would be a "Big House".
  3. I disagree with this choice. While it is impressive as "recorded sound" it does not reproduce Cecil Taylor's piano touch/sound as I know it. After a number of raves, I was disappointed when I heard it. Fine cd anyway. YMMV.
  4. Skid and I are going to hear Organissimo tonight.
  5. Haven't been there in a couple of months but did recently receive an email saying they had "rebuilt" the site.
  6. A quick check of Bruyninckx reports sessions with Earl Coleman, Louis Jordan, Harold Land, Gene Ammons (4), Curtis Amy (2) and Stitt.
  7. I'll forget that statement if you amend it to say "I've spent tens of thousands of dollars for free and I've done enough".
  8. Didn't know Organissimo had a "stupid women" thread. Time for a male version.
  9. Never saw this one! What's it like? A beautiful record. If you need to hear it (and you should) it's in the Mosaic Select and was on a single cd earlier coupled with a Roulette record. Wonderful stuff.
  10. Adding the aborted Stitt session might make it possible. THINK.
  11. Also listed are the McLean, Byrd and Hill releases.
  12. Too short to be issued by itself.
  13. Happy, happy, happy birthday Rachel.
  14. Gee, Larry must be really, really old.
  15. You can check out the International rates HERE.
  16. Most of the Fat Cat's are really lame suburban/white dixie dates and this was listened to and discarded. Off the top, the only Zutty/Noone encounter I can think of is the Capitol Jazzmen date from 1943.

  18. E-nuh-vold-sin No way. Enevoldsen is a Danish name. Pronounce it like the Italian 'bene' without the 'b'. The last E, I suppose, is silent. Kinda like "enema"?
  19. I think the "Don Ho RIP" thread was deleted 'cause I blamed Don Imus. He may be responsible for this death as well.
  20. No image in your post I can see. The Bowie cover is from 1967 - what is the date of the image you were trying to post? of course not. but i will be forced to point out that when i first saw your icon i thought "holy shit someone on the Organissimo forum has a David Sylvian vs Holger Czukay vs Jon Hassell EP as their icon!" and then i took a second look to discover it was indeed a completely different album, which is probably just as good. here's the design-wise cousin of that Lester Bowie album:
  21. Can you post videos?
  22. You seem to have great instincts - JUMP IN!
  23. You'd have voted for a Feldman forum.
  24. Yes, there was a time (long, long ago) when the music was alive and culture wasn't about digging up the past.
