  2. Just some crabs.
  3. For a week I lived with Basho in the next room. I could use that experience in a curse.
  4. Can't wait to hear what this group has to say on the subject. Can Barry Gordy overrule their decision?
  5. You mean this: http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=31388 ?
  6. AND who did that? I never said anything like "hey dummy". As I explained, entering Patton in the search function brings up a bunch of stuff. Not that tough. This is an "organcentric" group and John Patton HAD to be discussed earlier. I use the "search function" a bunch and the number of threads needed to be read bugs me. Recently I've been searching for comments about Braxton's "Standards" recordings and it takes hours to sort this out.
  7. Sorry if I missed it but don't think anyone mentioned Earl Hines "At Home". It is a wonderful solo recording from his solo prime. Also lacking are recommendations of the "country" blues recordings of Big Joe Williams and Sleepy John Estes. These alone are enough to vault Bob Koester into the recording pantheon. Edit to say I see Paul Secor (no surprise) mentioned a couple of the recordings mentioned above.
  8. Has anyone tried green magic markers on the terminals of a stereo cartridge?
  9. Rhode Island Ed Rhodes John Gilmore
  10. I heard some radio commentator say "Larry King tossed his first softball 50 years ago".
  11. So, I'm a bad guy. I just did a search and found 7 topics/threads by typing in Patton. Anyone here like the Blue Note label or Andrew Hill? Is there some arcane courtesy demanding we go back to "point one" every time a new member asks a question? New people are our "lifeblood" but they should be smart enough to know that an existing bb called Organissimo might have covered this subject of John Patton. I recently bought a new car and (after being on a list for my previous machine) entered the world of Mazda owners. I would never think of jumping in with my first question without some research.
  12. A milestone year for a milestone guy. Happy birthday Mark.
  13. Thanks Tom. Anyone here like Andrew Hill?
  14. Isn't that what you really want?
  15. Nah, get one of these:
  16. Only if he was 8 years old in 1973. Sorry, I was 29 then. I might have done violence on Dan anyway.
  17. Nice shot.
  18. Is anyone amazed they are booting music from the '70s? A pox on their customers.
  19. Thank you for the warm welcome Ritalin run out this week ? I think I asked a fair question. If I entered a bb called "organissimo" I would spend some time exploring. If not using the search function, I'd at least explore all the various topics and sub-threads. Sorry if I bent your corner.
  20. No better way for him to leave.
  21. Then you go to Google and enter Organissimo Forums and type in John Patton. On the other hand, I believe the "disfunction" of the Org search function involves 4 letter (or fewer) words. Patton should return some results, though I admit I didn't try it.
