  1. Be sure to shower when you are done.
  2. A late lamented friend (Don DeMichael) told me he knew his marriage was doomed when he came home to find his favorite lp (Hawk & Pres - Classic Tenors) spray painted, on the sofa.
  3. Johnny Guarnieri plays Count Basie. Johnny Guarnieri plays Teddy Wilson. Johnny Guarnieri plays Billy Kyle. Etcetera. I do like Johnny.
  4. This is fine if you are into guys wearing black lipstick.
  5. I suggest working backwards through the SteepleChase studio albums and the Swiss Nights series. I prefer these to the subsequent releases.
  6. We destroy many of our best, and many of our best aid the operation.
  7. Sometimes I play them label side down. I never keep the cds in the big black box (I'd never play them then). I do leave the lps in there but that isn't really a choice.
  8. The prices are high 'cause Gerry Teekens charges so damn much for his goods.
  9. Burrell does not sell that well.
  10. You can order from Winkelmann, but not from Weber. And the CDs I want are from Weber. Send a nasty email to Horst.
  11. I buy stuff I don't have already, or hope to get elsewhere in original packaging.
  12. Is this part of On Star?
  13. Didn't Aggie say you could buy directly from MW? Don't know his shipping charges, but check it out.
  14. How's the Julian Dash? Don't think that it's ever been reissued on CD. Never on cd. I played it today to burn a disc. It's a wonderful session. Jimmy Shirley is a wonder.
  15. Stupid to "bump" after 2 hours.
  16. Earlier in the week Eddie sang Take Me Out To The Ballgame at Wrigley Field. He sang, "give me some peanuts and crack............". Cute but not funny. He sounded like a burnout idiot in the following interview on the radio, and he seemed way too happy with himself.
  17. Today I've played Charles Tyler's 2 Definite lps on Storyville and A Portrait of Julian Dash on MJR.
  18. How they gonna clean that sucker?
  19. Teddy Wilson trio sides from 1980.
  20. You might be thinking of Mudhoney. You don't know me well enough to call me honey.
  21. I thought pearl jam was part of a sex act.
  22. I had this years ago as a Spotlight lp. Unless you have all other Webster stuff, I suggest letting it go. It is interesting but only for real Ben freaks.
  23. No blatant "untruths" in the review, but I guess you had to be there. This was seen as an "interesting failure" at the time (by me and the folks with whom I associated). As a distributor of this material I can say very few bought it. The release of this recording only added to JCOA's problems. I have not kept my copy and did not tape it before the sale.
