IIRC, Columbia (US) and Philips had a master exchange contract at the time. Columbia recorded the US recordings and they were issued by both companies. I believe Philips (now Universal) now own the masters since ML was under contract to them.

I noticed you can buy copies of the mag on the Spirit site - in case you need extras.

Transition labels fall off all the time (except for TRLP-1, Jazz in a Stable which has "normal" deep-groove labels). I think they glued them on in some sort of "mom and pop" operation and over the years they just fall off. I once owned a copy of "Jazz Advance" with NO labels!! I understand that! I was asking a question. I got it on ebay about a year or so ago . . . I was asking the question 'cause I sold a copy (missing the B side label) about 10 years ago. I got something like $1000 for it. The pressing was as close to mint as a Transition could be.

Yup, those cheap injection molded lps were the pits. They did not wear well with repeated playing - no give in the plastic and needles eventually turned 'em white. Transitions, Debuts and Harmonys.

I have had 5 Transition originals. Of the 10 (glued on) labels involved only 2 fell off. The ebay offering looks legit with a small caveat - the label colors appear slightly more "vivid" than I would expect but that could be the result of the photo.

I agree. Remember the site is trying to sell you something. Is your correct speed to THEIR advantage to close the deal? BTW, I've encountered the same problems Jim mentions but unplugging the modem and recycling it does the trick. On a couple of bad days I've reinstalled the router software but rarely reboot the machine.

Have not been on a plane for about 20 years. Just the way life is in the boonies. At one point I flew about 3 times a week and had lots of "exciting" times. Just no reason to fly recently.
