funny thing about reissues with improved sound - unless the original was really wretched I usually prefer to hear it in the same way a contemporary was hearing it- gives more of a sense of the original experience, I think -

I think the warmth issue is related to conversions from A to D - as in the first stage, I have found you can decrease the noise and INCREASE the presence and highs - if you know what you are doing - but most engineers haven't a clue -
