Check out this thread regarding certain labels issuing titles on CDRs: http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=36728 If you've gotten CDRs from Caiman, that's probably the way they came from the manufacturer. I've purchased probably hundreds of CDs from Caiman over the years, and never received anything other than actual genuine label issues. The only complaint I've ever seen about Caiman--and I've had this problem, myself--is that they often list titles for sale when they or their suppliers don't actually have them in stock. I've NEVER seen a complaint about the quality or genuineness of the actual product once it's received. Caiman's pretty good about returns, however, if you don't want to keep the CDs (or CDRs, or whatever they are). Also, it's not uncommon for European CDs, although brand-new, to not be wrapped or sealed--that's the way they come from the manufacturer. For example, I've purchased several brand-new European Blue Note CDs from various on line retailers that were not wrapped or sealed.

Meanwhile, Amazon UK has now raised the price by about 10 pounds. Gotta strike while the iron is hot!

And shipped immediately via UPS! Thanks for that UPS tip. I was checking USPS.com and was wondering why my tracking number wouldn't show up. Looks like I should be recieving this the 13th. I'm looking forward to it! Mine's scheduled for delivery on the 13th, also. The "1Z" at the beginning of the tracking number tipped me off that it was UPS. Plus, I emailed the seller to confirm that it was UPS when the shipping notice indicated USPS, and it was not yet showing up on ups.com, and got the following response: "We always ship high value items via UPS." Great seller!

Jim, I just saw this! Tell Zora that everyone here (including Zoe!) hopes that she feels better real soon (if she remembers us, that is!). If you want any additional pediatric advice, you know where to call. And tell Zora that if she wants to sue her dad, she knows where to call, too.

This could mean that they'll need to free up warehouse space and dump some more old box sets and OJCs at super-bargain prices. On second thought, I won't hold my breath.

It was the closest photo I could find for what my wife would have waiting for us when we came home late from the gigs in Philly last year. It would be gone in about 30 seconds. Of course, I sorta helped. On second thought, Jim now has the recipe--have him bring YOU a pie.

The US doesn't charge duties on individual orders of compact discs, LPs, etc. imported into the country. I looked it up on the net once and found that they are specifically excluded, but I can't seem to find anything about it on the net right now. Also, unlike Europe, there's no mechanism in the US for inspection of individual orders coming in from abroad, assignment of duties to those orders, and then collection of those duties by the postal service or private package services (e.g., UPS, FedEx).

Big Wheel, are you sure you are correct? It was my understanding that only a couple of albums are included in their entirety, Power to the People being one of them. I don't have it, so I may be wrong. From Scott Yanow's review on the very same AMG site: "This massive eight-CD set contains all of the music from Henderson's dozen Milestone LPs" From the 2004 Fantasy catalog: "His 12 albums during that period . . . have been compiled into this eight-CD, 82-selection box."
