  1. . . . and not nearly as cheap.
  2. If Erik's is out for delivery in Austin, he's in trouble.
  3. IIRC, this one was very highly recommended to me by Brad. Brad, you out there?
  4. Dude, you should just open a "Standing Preorder" with them, for whatever may come down the pike.
  5. MY apologies. My girlfriend dropped by and I had to lock the chat room door. I got some serious hardware issues here with the java thingie which takes ages to load then firefox crashed...ohmigod! Back another day ...off for a cider! Fortunately no hardware issues when my girlfriend dropped in. My question is: what the heck were you and Andy doing in there that you had to lock the chat room door on your girlfriend?
  6. Now on "Future Projects" page.
  7. Hans, was Scott inviting you to buy up all of the remaining 230?
  8. Does he have a permit for that thing???
  9. Allen hasn't quite caught on yet. It's OK--give him time.
  10. Thanks Lazaro for all your support. And you speak on behalf of Diz, Bird, Monk, and Trane?
  11. I was ready to believe you, Allen, until the part about Pam Anderson being willing to live with you if you were the last man on earth. That truly strains credulity.
  12. This is what I have (highly regarded classic recordings from the late '60's/early '70's, also mentioned above by porcy62):
  13. Though not in the "new arrivals" section, Blakey's "Drum Suite" is back as well. I hate it when they do that. Instead of feeding all the negativity on this board, couldn't you just thank me for showing you the way to "pounding a' plenty"? You're absolutely right Chuck--thanks!
  14. Though not in the "new arrivals" section, Blakey's "Drum Suite" is back as well. I hate it when they do that.
  15. I like it a lot. Haven't listened to it in a while, but remember it comparing very favorably with Farlow and Smith. Perhaps even a bit more swingin'. If you're into jazz guitar, you can't go wrong with Pass. Of course, even at only 5 discs, it's gonna cost you more than the Farlow did.
  16. Now officially deleted from the "Future Projects" page.
  17. Wow, how does Suzy already know what we look like? She doesn't--she just knows what we smell like.
  18. Back today (presumably without copy protection): Horace Silver, "Silver's Blues" Gerry Mulligan, "Jeru" Bob Brookmeyer, "Bob Brookmeyer & Friends"
  19. Here's a hot, swingin' 2-CD set now listed under Jazz New Arrivals, guaranteed to change your whole conception of jazz and a particular instrument's use in it. Those dudes at yourmusic.com certainly believe in some creative programming.
  20. Ron S

    US RVG Suprises

This explains--at least in part--how he did it: unlike previous releases of these tracks, he used the original session masters instead of the masters prepared for the 1957 12" LP, which presumably is why Blue Note issued the RVG only 2 years after issuing the "Complete" edition.
  21. NOW you're talkin'!
  22. Except Cadence, if you're ordering a few. I got this from them a few weeks ago--great CD.
  23. I misread this at first and wondered if I'd been missin' out on somethin'!
  24. Don't worry, Paris is big enough for the two of us... and some more and sorry Claude, you'll never see me sitting in a garden in Paris. Too many things to do and see around here for this! Brownie will never stop and smell the roses?
  25. Happy Birthday to a Sangrey Young Man! (Remember, 50's the new 30. )
